I’ve become a proud practitioner of “freeganism.” Upon realizing a vegan diet (or WFPB or plant-based) was too restrictive and did not allow me to have a good relationship with food, I’ve begun to practice much more balance in my meals. I don’t deny myself foods I want - like mac n cheese or fried pickles - but I also love to make things like a kale salad or a buddha bowl. These recipes are all things I make in real life. No strategy sessions or intensive thought - simply the result of a passion for food, flavor, and all things delicious.
